Well, the highlight of Parker’s day (well at least mommy, daddy and Payton’s) was a visit from Michael Winslow (he is the guy that does all the funny voices on Police Academy). And he surely brought them to the hem/onc floor last night. He chased Payton and 2 other little girls around the floor making crazy noises and lifted many spirits. Of course we had our picture taken which I’ll try to get up this evening.
Parker wasn’t up for much physical activity yesterday, but he did sit up quite a bit in bed. He has completely torn apart his Thomas coloring book, but thankfully Little Grandma bought him a wooden puzzle. He even fell asleep holding the birdie piece.
Lab results: running late today. The doctor said WBC was at 0. I mentioned the 400 mark and he said that that is close enough – so within the next week they should start heading up.
A friend gave me a book called “Praying God’s Promises for Your Childrenâ€. I just started glancing through it and found this quote by Richard Foster, “Do you know why the mighty God of the universe chooses to answer prayer? It is because His children ask. God delights in our asking.†Please, do not stop asking today!

We just got back from taking Parker for another walk in the “choo chooâ€. He had a great time and even was sitting up by himself a few times. I did notice that there were a few hairs on his pillow and gown – so I guess the process is starting. His rash is starting to fade some – but he still scratches some. We’ll work on him riding his bike again after nap time. I have some great pictures I’ll try to upload today or tomorrow.
Lab results: WBC 400; Platelet 57; Hemoglobin 8.2; ANC 28.8
Please continue praying for Parker’s overall health. Please also pray for our house in Ft. Myers to sell (and at a price where we don’t lose too much).

What a great day today was (at least after the x-rays). The x-ray report showed the pneumonia was not as prominent as before. WBC count came back at 400. His rash does not appear to be getting worse – but is not yet getting better. Parker had a visit from the physical therapist. He stood up by the cot playing with a toy for about 5 minutes. He also sat up a lot playing in his crib. When Daddy and Payton got back, Parker got on a little riding toy (where he had to use his feet to move) and went from his room to the playroom! It is unbelievable that he is pretty much learning to use his legs all over again. He also ate the most today too and he is right now giggling away as big sister Payton is putting on a show for him. Keep lifting your prayers up! It was so neat to have a nurse come in and said that they prayed for Parker in her church (which I had never heard of) Sunday.
