The New Year

I’m feeling very depressed tonight. I was going to give the update on how my day went opening up Parker’s Pals account and our trip for photos…but I’m tired, sick and feeling a bit depressed. So I thought I’d share this with you instead:

He was the music of our home,
A day that knew no night.
The fragrance of our garden bower,
A thing all smiles and light.

Above the couch we bent and prayerd
In the half-lighted room,
As the bright hues of infant life
Sank slowly into gloom.

The form remained; but there was now
No soul our love to share;
Farewell, with weeping hearts, we said,
Child of our love and care.

But years are moving quickly past,
And time will soon be o’er;
Death shall be swallowed up in life
On the immortal shore.

Then shall we clasp that hand once more,
And smooth that golden hair;
Then shall we kiss those lips again.
When we shall meet him there.

Year-end Giving
Posted on December 30th, 2007 at 10:16 am by Jamie

Folks have asked about how to give to Parker’s Pals before the end of the year. First, it will be tax-deductible and count for this year. We’ll need to receive your gift by tomorrow, December 31. It can be hand delivered or given through the paypal account. If you write a check please make it out to Parker’s Pals and if it is through Paypal then make a notation that it is for Parker’s Pals.

We thank you so much for thinking of Parker and supporting Parker’s Pals.
If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to email me at junderwood@parkerspals.org

Website Wonders

Charles and I met today to work on the structure of what the Parker’s Pals site should look like. It was so exciting to see things coming into focus. Of course talking of the website brought about more ideas and more things for us to think about in the planning phases of Parker’s Pals. Charles has done a wonderful job and selflessly given of his time to work with us, and I thank him for that.

Our family had lunch with the Kingsley’s (from Alabama) and Chancey’s (from Orlando) at Mainstreet Grill. It was so nice to meet them and learn about their lives. These moments are always treasured for Aaron and I. Meeting folks who have shared in our journey help us to see all the lives that have been touched by sweet Parker’s. Thank you for the wonderful gift for Aaron – I haven’t seen a smile that big on his face in such a long time! Thank you also for the donations to Parker’s Pals!

Tomorrow is honey-do list day. Aaron will be home all day ready to do the list of things that I’ve collected. He’s been working hard at the YL office remodeling – but this weekend his focus is here. Yippie! Shelves and pictures hung; shelves put together; and maybe, just maybe we can work on the office too! Pray this time for us as we work together as a family.
