Moving Day
Posted on September 26th, 2008 at 9:34 pm by Jamie

Tomorrow is moving day for us! Pray for many helping hands and a smooth transition. We are so excited!!! We bought a new fridge (there wasn’t one at the house) but it won’t be delivered until Wednesday. We’re also looking for a cheap fridge/freezer for the garage. I’m going to start buying bulk and I’ll have great veggies from my new organic garden to freeze :)

Paige update: All blood work came back negative. We are going to try probiotics and I’m going to talk to Dr. Wall (Parker’s doctor) when I see her next.

Long Update
Posted on September 21st, 2008 at 9:14 pm by Jamie

So, the stool samples for Paige all came back negative. Great, except what’s wrong with her?! I took her to the doctor again, last Thursday. As I was waiting in the exam room I heard a lady outside the room screaming “my baby! my baby!” ; “is my baby dead? don’t let me baby die!”. They were the gut wrenching screams only a mom could cry. I immediately thought of those last moments of Parker in my arms. My cell phone was in the car so I couldn’t even cry to someone – only to sweet Paige. I composed myself before the doctor came in and said she looked fine, let’s order blood work. As I was driving home and reading the orders I saw that a CBC was one that he requested. I called Aaron and he suggested that I go to Orlando to have it done. I called some “friends” who said of course, bring her in.

I took her Friday the 12th. As I drove I realized that I am taking another one of my children for blood work exactly 1 year and 7 months that I took Parker for his. I am so blessed to have wonderful people that I can trust taking care of Paige. They were what made me get through the test without an emotional breakdown. And of course…I am still waiting to hear back from Paige’s doctor on results.

Payton is doing well at her new school…except for her being a chatty kathy. She’s working on it though. She is also taking dance class and just started Brownies.

I know a lot of you have been wondering what’s going on with our house situation. Well…we closed on Friday! We are so extremely excited! Our closing was quite stressful – esp considering we had to come to it with a lot more money then we had planned on – but we know that God will provide for us. I spent Friday deep cleaning the house. Thank you so much to Barbie for helping me scrub the grime and for Lisa for watching Paige during cleaning/closing. I couldn’t have done it without ya! We have a lot of packing to do. We’ll start taking small loads over throughout the week and do the big move on Saturday!!!! Yeah for the new homeowners!

Childhood Cancer Awareness Day/Month
Posted on September 12th, 2008 at 10:56 pm by Jamie

Saturday, September 13th,
is National Children’s Cancer Awareness Day
The idea is to have everyone adorn gold balloons (as many as you want) to your mail boxes or other outside fixture (the color gold represents all childhood cancers).
When the day is over and you are taking down your balloons, put them in an envelope and mail them deflated to your local congressman or senator with a letter requesting that they raise funding even further on childhood cancer research…. You can print a child’s name on the balloon in honor of or in memory of.
Please forward this to everyone you know, asking everyone to participate in “honor” of or in “memory” of the littlest soldiers to help spread throughout the United States…
Thank you so much for helping raise awareness on childhood cancer….
SEPTEMBER IS CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!!!
Our children are fighting for their lives, their childhood, their tomorrow, their families, their dreams each and every day.
