**How do I know if you donated..here’s the process. Parker’s nurse calls in for a blood unit. They will request a direct donor unit. When it comes to the floor it will have a pink tag attached to it with the donors name on it. Unfortunately some of the units that may have been donated were not immediately tested to be sure that it was CMV negative (it can be tested up to 3 days after the draw). When this is the case or if it is the wrong blood type I may not always know. I did find out about the last few and had them released instead of going to waste. I was able to get a list of the above names though and am so thankful to all of you who took the effort and time to go down to the blood bank and donate for Parker. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
