Jamie has told me that people are asking if there is a way to be notified when she updates the site. And guess what… there IS!

First a quick lesson on RSS (Really Simple Syndication). RSS is a tagged code that keeps an eye on websites and blogs to see if they’ve been updated. Using a RSS reader like Outlook, Internet Explorer, Firefox (and the list goes on) it allows you to see if a site (Parkeru.org) has been updated without having to go to that site to keep checking.

The link: http://parkeru.org/?feed=rss2 is the key. This link can be pasted into any RSS Reader which can be your web browser, outlook express, outlook, google, yahoo, msn and more.

I pasted the link into my Outlook and now whenever Jamie updates I get it in my e-mail. I also pasted it on my homepage which is Google personalized homepage http://www.google.com/ig and it shows up there as well.

I haven’t tried Yahoo or MSN but I am sure it works there too.

If you want to use your browser all you have to do is go to the home page of parkeru.org and then click on the button on your toolbar.
